The 33rd Meeting of Computational Linguistics in The Netherlands

The 33rd Meeting of Computational Linguistics in The Netherlands (CLIN 33) was organized by the Centre for Computational Linguistics, Psycholinguistics, and Sociolinguistics (CLiPS) at the University of Antwerp. It took place on September 22, 2023, at the university’s city campus in Antwerp, Belgium.

The event featured presentations and discussions on computational linguistics, with speakers covering various topics to advance the field. Leading researchers and academics came together to discuss the latest advancements and challenges in computational linguistics.

Among the notable presentations, Hadi Mohammadi and Qixiang Fang stood out with their insightful talks. Mohammadi delved into the burgeoning field of AI-generated text detection, presenting his research titled “AI-Generated Text Detection Using Ensemble and Combined Model Training.” His study, exploring a novel approach to distinguish between human-written and AI-generated texts, emphasized the importance of accuracy and explainability in AI models.
