Natural Language and Text Processing Lab
The Natural Language and Text Processing (NLTP) lab is led by Dr. Robert Bagheri, with coordination supported by Dr. Anastasia Giachanou and Dr. Pablo Mosteiro. The lab is a passionate, inclusive group of PhDs and faculty, postdocs and research engineers working together on research projects to understand, interpret and model natural language. The NLTP lab is embedded in the Department of Methodology, Statistics, and Data Science, and has strong links with the Utrecht NLP Hub.
The research interests of this group are focused on fundamental research in text mining, natural language processing, machine learning, explainable AI, and practical applications of human language technology in computational social sciences and health research. The NLTP Group develops a wide range of open educational materials on text mining and NLP, as well as many tools for the community to use.
